Oil on canvas, 23 5/8 x 29 in. (60.0 x 73.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, tear through lining with major loss to canvas layer in center, retouch, craquelure, surface grime.

Provenance: Purchased from Fratelli Squarcina, Genova, 1968, to the present owner by family descent.

Condition Report

The lining is adhered with glue or resin. The central loss includes loss of both paint and canvas and small areas of paint are lifting along the edges of this loss. There are at least two rounds of retouch scattered throughtout. The surface is otherwise stable. The painting would benefit from cleaning.
