Although this cannot be connected to a known work, it is close in style to Tavarone, and reminiscent of the many historical scenes that he painted.

And another, Attributed to Giovanni Battista Paggi, Study of Angels and Putti, pen and brown ink and black chalk, 217 by 172 mm, 8 1/2 by 6 3/4 in, from the Santo Varni Collection (see lot 536).
