Attributed to Johann Hermann Carmiencke, German 1810-1867- Mill by the river; conte on paper, 29.4x23cm: together with two other pencil drawings of landscape subjects by the same hand, one bearing inscription ''Wandsbek, 1834, in Juni'', 21.5x17.1cm and 15.4x19.5cm, (3) (mounted, unframed) (VAT charged on hammer price)

Condition Report

All drawings are unframed, but mounted in off-white mounts somewhat discoloured The drawing of the mill is yellowed over time the paper is ruckled on the vertical sides where it has been stuck to the mount there is a minor water stain on the left hand vertical side otherwise in good general condition the drawing of the ruins of the church is in a discoloured mount the paper has been yellowed over time tiny brown spot in the sky region stuck down on card behind brown mark visible in the undergrowth otherwise in good general condition third drawing also mounted on cream mount (discoloured with age and brown spots) minor brown spots on the paper round the edges inscribed lower edge surface dirt otherwise in good general condition
