Attributed to Henry Wyndham Phillips (1820-1868). Portrait of Augusta Ada Byron, seated, playing the piano, arched 19 x 15.5cm., in gilt frame with glazed outer leather, and velvet easel case (a/f). * In August 1852, when she knew she was dying, Ada posed for two portraits by Phillips. The sittings were often interrupted by excruciating pain.
