ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGE GUNTHER HARTWICK (American, -1899) SUNSET. Unframed oil on canvas landscape scene shows a bright sunset over an expansive landscape with water, sailboat, trees and hills. Light shines through the trees on the left and the sunset reflects on the water. Unsigned but this painting at one time had its frame thrown away and the consignor recalls that the frame had a label referring to this artist. SIZE: 25-1/2" x 42". CONDITION: Four tears that have some restoration, a couple of holes which are unrestored. Extensive craquelure, fair. 9-93025 (500-1,000)
