ATTRIBUTED TO EVELYN M. BICKNELL
American, 1857-1936

Schooner off Point Gammon Light, Hyannis Harbor. Initialed and dated lower left "E.M.B. 80". Point Gammon Light was built in 1816 on the Yarmouth side of Hyannis Harbor to mark the entrance of the harbor and Bishops and Clerks. In the distance is Bishops and Clerks Light which was built in 1856. The small lighthouse keeper''s house depicted was dismantled in the 1930s. Point Gammon Light still exists today under private ownership.
Oil on board, 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Framed.

Some frame rubbing to the extreme edges. Needs cleaning.
