See illustration} E700-900 *Provenance. With William D. Jones, 100 Seel Street, Liverpool. Leaver's style is reminiscent of William Thomas Such. He usually painted on a larger scale for prestigious Midlands exhibitions, these he often signed, inscribed and dated. The artist rarely signed the smaller examples. Winter scenes were one of his favourite subjects, but he also produced summer and autumnal scenes. He worked around Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as in Worcestershire.
