Description

With 17 hand-colored maps (world map hand-colored in outline). 11 1/2 x9 1/2, original printed wrappers backed with cloth tape.

Shows Texas as an independant Republic. Oregon Territory forms the border with Mexico just south of Pt. St. George, and extends northward only about 100 miles short of the border with the Russian Possessions. The World Map, Map of United States and Texas, Map of the Middle States, Map of the Southern States, Map of the Western States are all double-page.

Condition Report

Wrappers frayed and soiled, backstrip split; minor offsetting, light foxing/toning and a few maps with small brown stains, a couple of the double-page with small tears at centerfold; maps very good.
