The Italian-born artist, Arturo Noci, moved to New York after completing his studies in Rome. He soon became known for urban landscapes with notable influences of both French Impressionism and Japanese art. Central Park, New York embodies each of these influences with its painterly surface and patterned qualities to create a decidedly modernist composition.
