Description

Circa 1925, an Art Deco patinated spelter lamp after Ignacio Gallo (Spanish, d. 1935) with enameled facial details and a Italian millefiori shade, mounted on a gray and black marble base. Shade has original paper label "Made in Italy". Good condition, working. Measures 7 1/2"x4"x8 1/2". Weight 4 pds 3 oz. Ignacio Gallo was born in Valladolid, Spain in the 19th century. He worked from 1910 to 1935 specialising in statuettes of bathers, dancers, nudes and pagan goddesses. PROVENANCE: A Private Charleston SC Estate.
