Arnold Beauvais, (1886-1984) 'Cap Pillar at Wivenhoe, Essex', oil on board, signed and dated '50, inscribed on label on reverse, 16in x 20in Footnote: Arnold Beauvais was born in London, the son of the French artist, Charles Henri Beauvais, (1864-1911). He trained in London and became a successful commercial artist producing cinema artwork and posters. He was elected a member of the London sketch club in 1929 and became it's President in 1936
