The marble is superbly carved and has a beautiful original surface. Overall the condition is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are minor paint marks at the bottom tip of the thyrsus and at the woman's proper left toes. There are some very small losses to the ribbons of the thyrsus (nymph's stick). There are some small naturally occurring inclusions, most of which are barely visible as they have been professionally filled (this has been very well executed). These inclusions are located at the chests, woman's hair, her proper right arm, at the back of her proper left leg and at her proper left buttock. There is attractive minor veining to the marble, consistent with the material. A section of the terrasse on the right is carved separately and there is a stable slightly visible original joint. There are a few minor chips to the bottom edge of the base, and two arched openings have been created for the handles of the revolving top. The revolving top still functions. There are minor chips, abrasions and dirt to the column, such as at the bottom edge.
