Description

Antoinette Rhett (SC, 1884-1964), Iron Balcony, etching on laid paper, titled and signed in pencil along lower margin "The House with Iron Balcony / Charleston, S.C." and "Antoinette Rhett," numbered "6," matted and framed under glass. A founding member of the Charleston Etchers' Club, Rhett honed her etching skills under the tutelage of Alfred Hutty at the Carolina Art Association. Expected toning - otherwise in very fine condition. Plate size 6 7/8" x 7 7/8"; Paper size 10.75" x 8.25"; SS 7.5" x 8 3/8"; DOA 13.5" x 16 3/8"
