LEONARDUS TEMMINCK (DUTCH, 1753-1813) An officer, in blue coat with silver-bordered black facings and red collar, silver braiding on right shoulder and silver lacing, frilled cravat, powdered hair; together with a young gentleman, in blue coat with gold buttons, white waistcoat with gold buttons and black knotted cravat (by Hendrik Willem Caspari, 1827); together with a young gentleman, in blue coat with black collar, white waistcoat and knotted cravat (by Francesco Tozelli, circa 1803); together with a young gentleman called G. A. Josephe Immens in blue coat with gold buttons, brown-embroidered white waistcoat and frilled cravat (by Georg Niklaus Ritter, 1806); together with a young officer, in dark blue coat with pale pink collar and gold epaulettes, dark hair and moustache, wearing the breast-stars of the French Order of the Legion of Honour, the Military Order of Italy and the Military Order of Sardinia (by Alessandro Cittadini, 1861) signed with monogram 'LT.' (lower right); signed and dated 'Caspari pinx 1827.' (lower right); signed 'Tozelli' (lower left); signed 'G: Ritter. fecit.'
