AN IRISH GEORGE III KINGWOOD, BURR-YEW AND SATINWOOD DRESSING-TABLE BY JOSHUA KEARNEY, CIRCA 1790, Crossbanded overall, the rectangular twin-fap top enclosing a ftted interior around a hinged ratcheted mirror, above a false drawer, slide and one long frieze drawer, on square tapering legs with brass caps and castors, the associated locks stamped ‘W R PATENT’ above a crown, with paper label inscribed ‘KEARNEY’S / LOOKING GLASS / WARE HOUSE / NO. 49 HENRY STREET / DUBLIN’ and pencil inscription ‘CARRIG HOUSE / LOWER ROAD / 4056’ 34 in. (86.5 cm.) high; 27 1/4 in. (69 cm.) wide; 20 in. (51 cm.) deep
