Lot 144: An impressive pair of Flight, Barr and Barr wine coolers, circa 1820-25

Of Warwick Vase form with gilt entwined handles and gadroon and pearl borders, raised on square plinths, the front panels painted with Cupids, one with four Cupids sharpening their arrows in the fires of conjoined cornucopias, the other with two Cupids taking care not to awaken a slumbering child, the pale blue ground wrapped around the vases with Romanesque ornament in white camaieu, a gilded dragon on the reverse of each vase, 25.5cm high, unmarked (some restoration) (2)
