AN ELEGANT
GE-TYPE
FANGHU-FORM VASE

Late 18th – early 19th century

Of flattened rectangular
hu-form with a tall spreading foot and covered overall with an unctuous undulating gray glaze of
ge type with a network of wide dark crackle and a finer network of pale brown tone, the vertical edges of the main sides canted and the narrow sides with upright lug handles, the glaze continuing to the interior neck, the shaped rectangular foot ring unglazed and brown-dressed, the base glazed.


8 1/4in (21cm) high

Condition Report

Generally, in excellent overall condition. The glaze with an undulating unctuous surface that has a few minor bubbles to the surface but unobtrusive.
