Notes

Edgar Allan Howes began his studies at the Royal Academy Schools and continued at the Slade School. He exhibited at both the Paris Salon and the Royal Academy. The Queen bought his bronze Madonna of the Lily in 1926. The New Age was exhibited in bronze at the Royal Academy in 1923. The model is illustrated in the Royal Society?s book of Modern British Sculpture.
