"The Crags of Ben Venne Trossachs". Oil on canvas, signed in the lower right corner, inscribed with the title, artist's name, "....9", "Copyright Reserved" verso, stamped with Winsor & Newton's, apprx. 20" x 30", fit in an elaborately shaped and gilt frame overall apprx. 28-3/4" x 38-3/4". A striking view of a Loch of Scotland, Ben Vane, which due to its location offers a variety of approaches, each having its own unique attraction. A much neglected mountain, it is surrounded by unspoilt scenery and from its summit some well known mountains are often unrecogniseable due to the unusual viewpoint.
