Alfred Bendiner (PA, 1899-1964), Two PA Prints,The first is signed and titled in lower right "Alfred Bendiner / Elfreth's Alley," four figures in 19th century dress congregate on the narrow Elfreth's Alley, opened in 1702, the alley is among the oldest continually inhabited residential streets in the United States and a Philadelphia landmark, matted and framed under glass. DOA 20.75" x 23.5"; SS 13" x 15.75" The second is also signed and titled "Alfred Bendiner / Kiosk," a street sign reads 14th Street as figures gather around a central kiosk advertising publications, performances, and the zoo, matted and framed under glass. DOA 25.25" x 21.5"; SS 17.5" x 13.5"; The lot also includes a copy of "Bendiner's Philadelphia" by Alfred Bendiner, in which both of the above prints are described and illustrated.
