Quarto, illustrated with fifty hand-colored plates by Alexander; older boards rebacked with new straight-grain morocco spine and corners, spine gilt lettered, 9 1/4 x 6 1/4 in.
Examples of regional, generally peasant, dress from Hungary, Scavonia, Bohemia, Transylvania, Croatia, Moravia, and other neighboring countries is also included.
