Alexander Wallace Rimington R.B.A., A.R.E. (c.1854-1918), Continental rural view, signed, watercolour over pencil, 22.5 x 35cm.; 9 x 13.75in. * Studied art in London and Paris. Exhibited at the principal London galleries from 1880, mainly at the Royal Academy; Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours; Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers and also at the Paris Salon. Received an Honorary Mention at the Berlin International and held several one-man sjows at the Fine Art Society.
