John and Catherine Rochead had several children: Elizabeth (b.1808), Jane (b.1810), Andrew (b.1812), John Thomas (1814-78), who was an architect, Catherine Christina (b.1816), Frances (b.1818), Georgiana Agnes (b.1820) and Susanna Mary Cleghorn (b.1824), who married Simon Lovat Fraser and emigrated to Australia aboard The Eldorado in 1852.
