23 1/2 x 15 3/4 inches 59.7 x 40 centimeters signed in Roman and Cyrillic and dated 1878 Provenance:By descent to the present Private Collection, Ontario This painting was purchased by a member of the consignor's family in Riga, Latvia just after World War I. It stayed in that family until the 1980s, when a grandparent brought the work to Canada.
