Svobodova - Alsova on the reverse, National Gallery label no. K 39 338, ex collection Rudolf Rysavy. Czech painter, draughtsman and illustrator, he studied under J. Trenkwald and J. Sweerts at the Academy of Arts in Prague and was a member of the generation of artists who participated in the decoration of the National Theatre in Prague.
