ALES Mikolas (18. 11. 1852 Mirotice - 10. 7. 1913 Prague) Professor Raubalik as a saint worshipped by young girls Pencil on paper, 37 x 26,5 cm, mounted, glazed, undated, unsigned, exhibition label from the Jubilee exhibition of M. Ales to mark the 80th anniversary of his birth in 1932 on the reverse, restitution from the National Gallery no. K 39 339, inscription by prof. Raubalik, ex collection Rudolf Rysavy. Czech painter, draughtsman and illustrator, he studied under J. Trenkwald and J. Sweerts at the Academy of Arts in Prague and was a member of the generation of artists who participated in the decoration of the National Theatre in Prague.
