Notes

After studying painting in Bendigo (under Arthur Woodward) Goodsir travelled to Paris in 1900 and continued her studies at Delachuse's, Colorossi's and Julian's. She exhibited at both the Old and New Salons. From 1909 she lived with an American girl, Rachel, who Agnes nicknamed 'Cherry' and who became the subject of many of her portraits until the artist's death in 1939.
