"The front 'East Indian Carrier' depicts the Amsterdam Coats of Arms on the rear, and in the mirror below the state veduta. It could be considered to be a portrait of a particular ship from Amsterdam in the "East Indian Shipping Company", below left is a 'Fleute' of a freight ship. In the foreground left an English coastal ship is sailing and far to the right an English merchant ship. On the rear, signed: A. Smit, dating back to 1675."
