The bay of Srigonjo, Java; and the Northcoast of Java near the residence Japaro
both signed and inscribed, the first 'Java/de baay Srigonja/Zuidkust van Java/Ab Salm'; the latter 'Java/de Noordkust/van Java/Omstreken residentie/Japaro/Ab Salm.' (on a label attached to the reverse).

The engraver Johan Conrad Greive (1837-1891) has included a chromolithograpy after the first painting in his portfolio Java Naar Schilderijen en Teekeningen van A. Salm, published by François Buffa & Zonen, Amsterdam (1865-72).
