Lot 123: Abraham Delfos (Dutch School, 1731-1820) After Francesco Vanni

The Holy Family with an Angel or "The Rest on the Flight into Egypt". Soft ground etching on paper, approx. 10-1/8" x 7-1/2", glued along the left edge to a backing paper, matted but not framed overall approx. 16" x 13-1/4". After the painting by the baroque painter Francesco Vanni (Italian, 1563-1610). The names of both artists are inscribed in pencil verso.

Trimmed to slender margins, glued to backing paper at the left edge, light foxing; may have been previously treated by a conservator.
