rectangular with cut corners, the cover inset with a rectangular enamel plaque finely painted with a view of a lake with figures and boats, mountainous landscape and village in the background, the base enamelled in translucent blue over diaper engine-turned ground, the cover and base bordered with a black and blue taille d'épargne surround inset with opaque white enamel, the side panel engraved with lozenge pattern, the black enamelled cut corners decorated with baskets of flowers on a plinth with swags, flanked by two pillars
