A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE 'DRAGON' DISH AND THREE IMARI WARES

Comprising a blue and white dish painted with an encircled coiling four-clawed scaly dragon, clouds and a flaming pearl at the center, the cavetto plain and the everted border with prunus blossoms floating on swirling water, the reverse with a band of scrolling flowerheads below a whorl band at the rim, the slightly convex base with an encircled
Chenghua mark; a miniature Imari vase of elegant baluster form painted with chrysanthemum sprays in blue and white, iron red and gilt; and an Imari and 'cafe-au-lait'-backed petal-molded tea bowl and saucer, the principal side of each painted with a long-beaked bird on the branches of a tree peony spray within a petal-shaped cartouche that mirrors the molding, and with cell pattern below the foliate rim, the reverse of each with a plain pale-coffee glaze. dish: 6 3/8in (16.2cm) diam
vase: 2 3/4in (7cm) high
saucer: 4 3/4in (12.1cm) diam

Dish:Generally, in excellent overall condition. There is an original kiln firing flaw at the rim (0.9cm) but unobtrusive. Some minor iron spots.


Vase: A small rim chip and a tiny kiln adhesion at the neck but mostly unobtrusive.


Cup and saucer Generally, in excellent overall condition.
