Eimmarto; each globe with twenty four half gores and two polar calottes, graduated brass meridian ring, brass hour ring to the terrestrial globe, each oak and walnut stand of four turned tapered legs supporting the circular horizontal ring applied with printed zodiacal calendar, the plain stretchers supporting a turned base, on turned bun feet

NOTE

Georg Christoph Eimmart was born in Regensburg in 1638. By 1660 he had moved to Nuremberg and by 1677 he was studying astronomy. His only globes were published in 1705, the year of his death.
