Having a 3.5-inch gilt Roman dial, faintly inscribed "HIRST BROTHERS LEEDS", the two-train movement, half-hour striking on a bell, with Japy Freres Medaille d'Honneur exhibition stamp and numbered 354 48, the case surmounted by a gilt bronze after Alfred Louis Habert (1824-1893), being a seated classical Muse representing Music, modelled wearing a laurel wreath and holding a lyre signed "Habert" in the cast, the breakfront case applied with a shallow classical relief frieze over laurel border on paw feet, 42.5cm wide x 49cm high, (16.75" x 19.25") (sold with pendulum and winder)
