The polished wood ground decorated in gold, silver and iroe hiramakie on one side with a portrait of Okame within an open-fan cartouche, dressed as a common girl, holding a box of beans, and the reverse with oni, lacquered in red, gold and grey takamakie, sheltering beneath a large hat inlaid in aogai, fleeing in fright from a shower of dried beans inlaid in gold takamakie, the interior of plain wood, signed in gold lacquer Taishin. 9.5cm (3¾in).
