A GERMAN PORCELAIN PLAQUE OF 'CLOTHO', after the painting by Paul Thumann (1834-1908), depicted wearing diaphanous robes and spinning the Thread of Life, 13 x 9cm, with applied paper label to the reverse for 'Kunstinstitut fur Porzellan-Malerei. Merkel-Heine, Wiesbaden', framed. Note: 'Clotho' was the daughter of Zeus and Themis, and sister to Lachesis and Atropos, according to Greek mythology. She and her sisters were collectively called the Three Fates
