A FABERGÉ SILVER HIPPOPOTAMUS-HEAD CANE HANDLE, WORKMASTER JULIUS RAPPOPORT, ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1890 the handle realistically chased and cast as the head of a hippopotamus with ruby eyes, mounted on a collar of silver chased to resemble fabric set between gilded bands, mounted on a wooden base for display marked with workmaster's initials and with 88 standard, also with scratched inventory number 7901 height 2 1/4 in. (excluding stand) 5.7 cm
