Notes

This cruet stand by Jan van 't Hofken is in the exhibition catalogue, Meesterwerken in Zilver, Lochem, 1984, p. 124, no 131. However, the illustrated cruet stand is that of Wijnand Warneke, Amsterdam, 1771, which is lot 88 of this sale. The date, 1723, has been derived from Voet, the date 1747 in the exhibition catalogue is not correct.
