Lot 1015: A Dutch silver brazier

Mark of Johannes Schiotling, Amsterdam, 1792, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1853-1927 Circular, on three scroll feet with foliate terminals, with applied beaded band above, beneath a bright-cut band of swirling flowerheads and foliage, the everted beaded border with engraved inner band of bright-cut ornament, marked on base 13.3 cm. (51/4 in.) diam. 282 gr. (9 oz.) PROVENANCE Dr Anton C.R. Dreesmann (inventory no. G-43).
