by Adolphe Debain (fl. from 1851), the flange struck with inventory number 50, later struck with two Parisian post-1838 restricted warranty marks for gold, the medal by Raymond Gayrard (1777-1858), signed 'GAYRARD F. PRAGUE 1842'
Rectangular box with rounded corners and slight baluster sides, the cover set with a circular medal of the Comte de Chambord (1820-1883) within blue enamel surround, flanked by translucent blue enamelled scrolling strapwork applied with four raised fleurs-de-lys at spandrels, all sides engine-turned with fine horizontal reeding, the corners of the sides engraved with scrolls, the rims on cover dye-stamped with a floral border
