A 19th century Italian micromosaic and gilt brass table desk, by Cesare Roccheggiani, the fall inset and panel of two ladies in a courtyard, with a river landscape in the distance, to a blue plush lined interior with a pair of glass ink bottles, revealed by a floral hinged panel, the front with five oval panels, 'The Pantheon, The Colosseum, St Peter's Square, The Forum and The Temple of Vespa', the sides with square panels, 'Columns of Trojan and Marcus Aralius' to foliage and dove panels, the back engraved, to bead and foliage edges, the front corners with female caryatids, the underside with gilt stamp 'C. Roccheggiani, Roma,' 6.25in (16cm) h, 14.5in (37cm) w, 13.5in (34. 2cm) d.
