They are from Tomblesons Views of the Thames River England by William Tombleson (published in Boston: Hedsor Ld) book with engravings in 1832, titled "Chelsea Hospital , & Middlesex" , from Hedsor Ld, Boston . Wonderful color and fine detailing make this a exceptional group for display. Professionally framed matching gilt wood frames, each measuring 13.75 x 11.75 , 1830 to 1840's. William Tombleson (1795 - c. 1846) was an English topographical and architectural artist, illustrator, copper and steel engraver, writer and printmaker, based in London. In the 1830s, his topographical drawings of the upper and middle River Rhine in Germany, and of the rivers Thames and Medway in England were published as engraved prints and books. For volume 2 of Views of the Thames he provided illustrations - the book was also published in French and German editions.
