Description

A watercolor on paper identified on the mount as Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn with further notation of "Lefevre J. Cranston circa 1860". In September 1859, the English artist Lefevre James Cranstone (1822 - 1893) began a nine-month journey through the eastern and mid-western parts of America. This and another similar work in this sale are from the estate of a former employee with Kennedy Galleries, NY. Measures 6.5 x 12 inches
