Wright was founded in 2000 by Richard Wright, a renowned expert in modern design, and specializes in modern and contemporary art and architecture.

This premier auction house hosts auctions, previews, and exhibitions in their centrally located building in the West Loop of Chicago. In 2005, Wright expanded to the historic Parke-Bernet building on Madison Avenue in New York City.

Wright pioneered the sale of Important Architecture at auction, successfully auctioning Pierre Koenig’s Case Study House 21 in Los Angeles and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Kenneth Laurent House in Illinois. In 2005, Wright sold an Isamu Noguchi table for a record-breaking $630,000. Pieces auctioned at Wright reside in some of the most prominent collections worldwide, including the Dallas Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
