Since 1992 The Plymouth Auction Rooms have been holding regular sales of antiques and collectables in Plymouth. The popular sales feature a wide range of Antique and Traditional Furniture, Clocks, Paintings, Silver, Jewellery, Collector’s Items and Decorative Furnishings.

Paul Keen has been auctioneering in the city since 1986 and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of sales from single high value lots to entire estate dispersal’s, on site sales or rare private collections.

The creation of the Plymouth Auctions Rooms own Website in 2002 has created a significant growth of clients allowing the auctioneers to establish a client base covering Britain, Europe and America.

The saleroom has produced record prices in many areas including a fine Regency mahogany dining table selling for £15,000, a painting of Sutton Harbour by Plymouth artist William Gibbons £8100. an Italian painting after Nicholas Poussan at £14,300 and an Italian marble bath for £12,100 and a silver Liberty Vase by Archibald Knox also at £12,100.

The auctioneers are enthusiastic about their sales and have the energy to promote fine lots well with national adverting and substantial press editorials. This enables them to achieve London Prices in a Provincial Saleroom.

Collectors and Sellers of Westcountry Art are well catered for with a Quarterly Picture Sale. This evening sale features many leading contemporary and traditional Westcountry Artists including works by Beryl Cook, Robert Lenkiewicz, Frederick Widgery, Brian Pollard, Sir Terry Frost, Mary Fedden , J Uren.G H Jenkins, Baragwaneth King, Charles Brittan.

In February of 2005 almost £100,000 worth of goods were sold including a fine Bureau Cabinet at £7900, a Cartier gold Wrist Watch at £3000, a Rolex wrist watch at £2000, a single stone diamond ring for £3400, a Geo III Bracket Clock at £4200 and may other lots selling over £1000.

With this wealth of experience The Plymouth Auction Rooms have a firmly established themselves as one of Devon and Cornwall leading salesrooms.
