Humbert & Ellis Ltd. is one of the UK’s leading auction houses, specialising in regional, national and international sales of Fine Art, Antiques and Specialist Collectables.

Our history and heritage is important to who we are today. The name Humbert has been synonymous with auctions since 1842, five generations later under the stewardship of Principal Auctioneer and Managing Director Jonathan Humbert we continue to serve clients all over the world with auction and valuation services.

In March 2017 we announced the appointment of Francesca Ellis as Operations Director with immediate effect and the change of company name from J P Humbert Auctioneers Ltd to Humbert & Ellis (Auctioneers & Valuers) Ltd.

Today, we provide a full international auction service with a highly experienced team delivering true customer service. We offer a comprehensive range of specialist and general sales throughout the year along with valuation services for probate, insurance and family division.

With substantial sale rooms in Northamptonshire as well as two international online bidding platforms, we are well positioned to offer clients a global reach for the best opportunities, whether buying or selling.

Above all, we ensure customers get best price from buyers in the room, phone bidders and through our hi-tech live worldwide internet bidding – all supported by a very pro-active PR and Marketing department that frequently achieves mainstream press coverage.

In summary we have the heritage and the infrastructure to meet any auctioneering and valuation needs, from high net worth clients and art investors to first time collectors, from country estate sales to local house clearances. We deliver the premium service – but without London premium prices.
