Biography

Goya Auctions began its journey in Madrid in 2005 with a young team but with extensive xperience in the art and antiques market.

Starting from the traditional offer of authors and decorative arts present in the Spanish auction market, it soon broadened its sights to the decorative arts and authors of the 20th century, always in combination with classic pieces whose antiquity goes from the 15th to the 19th century but always looking for a point of originality that expands the market from the traditional collector to the new neophyte client who values ??the decorative effect and who seeks an easy coexistence with the works he acquires for a space that he enjoys every day.

Adapting to the new collector, to new markets, to a new taste and to a new way of understanding the value of pieces and decoration have made Goya Subastas' priority to offer differentiating pieces and new concepts as well as new ways to present them both in our catalogs and in our exhibitions.

Throughout these years, important private collections and institutions such as the Prado Museum, the National Archaeological Museum, the National Sculpture Museum of Valladolid, the Romantic Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts, among others, have in their funds important works acquired in our room.
