      MASTER I.A.M. OF ZWOLLE The Calvary. Engraving, circa 1470-95. 156x112 mm; 6 1/4x4 1/2 inches. Ex-collection Wilhelm Koller, inscription in ink verso (see Lugt 1583); Eduard Schultze (Lugt 906, verso); Jacques Oudry (Lugt 3485, verso); and Cicognara, inscription in ink verso (not in Lugt). The lower right quadrant of this extremely scarce, early engraving. Lehrs cites only 6 impressions of the complete subject in public collections. We have not found another impression at auction in the past 30 years. Bartsch 5; Lehrs 5.

      Master I.A.M. of Zwolle (1440-1504) The Adoration of the Magi (Hollstein 1; Lehrs VII.1) engraving, 1490, without watermark, a delicate impression of this very rare print, printing with clarity, if somewhat dryly, trimmed within the platemark just outside the borderline, lacking the monogramme in the lower margin, the fillet of blank paper outside the borderline skilfully made up, with an occasional nick to the sheet edges, a small repair to the fragment of wall at the right of the kneeling king, a tiny plugged hole on the lowest hoof of the foremost horse in the left subject, a thinly backed horizontal fold at the centre, occasional surface losses and thin spots S. 354 x 241 mm.
