He has been featured in group exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum, the New Museum of Contemporary Art, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center and The Moore Space, among others. Provenienz: Mary Boone Gallery, New York (Aufkleber) Jablonka Galerie Linn LÜhn, Köln (Aufkleber). „Obwohl Kevin Zucker jede seiner Leinwände mit komponierten Interieurs auch ohne einen Computer hätte malen können ist doch der Gebrauch des Digitalen zentral fÜr seinen Ansatz und das Ergebnis. Seine Quellen sind fotografische Archive, gedruckte BÜcher und sogar das Internet und er nutzt diese gefundenen Bilder als Ausgang fÜr die virtuellen Modelle fÜr seine perspektivischen Zeichnungen. Zucker verändert häufig die Farbpalette, die Umgebung und die dargestellten Gegenstände und schafft so Welten die zugleich falsch und doch sehr glaubhaft erscheinen. Er produziert seine Zeichnungen auf Vinyl, Überträgt sie dann auf die Leinwand und lasiert sie dann mit Acryl. Dass der Arbeitsprozess augenscheinlich wird, ist von Zucker durchaus gewollt, seien dies Fehler im ursprÜnglichen gefundenen Bild oder auch Unbeständigkeiten des Ãaebertrags. Die delikate Präzision seiner Bilder steht im Kontrast mit dem Verlust an Information der unumgänglich mit dem Ãaebertragen der einhergeht und entkräftet so die Annahme, dass der Computer Perfektion schafft und der Fehler menschlich ist. In Zuckers eigenen Worten bestehen die Fehler: „…als fassbarer Beweis der Transformation des Bildes von einer ideellen Form (auf dem Computer einer binären Form) zu der physischen Form des tatsächlichen Gemäldes und erinnern so den Betrachter an genau das Ding â€" Menschlichkeit â€" welches die ursprÜngliche Darstellung zu verneinen scheint.â€ae (Ãaebersetzt aus: Sarah Hermanson Meister, Kevin Zucker in: Ausst.-Kat.: Greater New York 2005, P.S.1 CAL und MOMA affiliated.
