Anno 1727“. Porträt in beinahe halber Figur leicht nach links, der Kopf dem Betrachter zugewandt. Gefaßt in geziertem und von Draperie umgebenem Oval-Rahmen vor Rechteck über Schriftsockel mit persönlichem Wappen. Schabkunstbl., „Nicolaus Grassi delin.“, „Franc. Zucchi Sculpt: Venet.“, Venedig um 1727. PM 35 x 24, Blatt 36,5 x 25,2 cm. (7) Le Blanc 1. Diepenbroick-Grüter 2470: „Sehr selten“. Nicht bei Drugulin. Zucchi hat nur wenige Einzelblätter gestochen (Le Blanc z.B. sind insgesamt nur 6 bekannt), er arbeitete meistens für Buch¬händler. Thieme-Becker (zu dem Maler Nicola Grassi aus Friaul, Bd. 14, S. 541) führen immerhin 3 Mezzotinto-Porträts von Zucchis Hand nach Grassi auf, darunter das vorliegende Böhm-Porträt. - Außergewöhnlich schöner Druck mit umlaufendem Rand. Hier beigefügt der von alter Hand beschriftete Sammler-Doppelbogen *Der (wohl) 1641 in Mohrungen (heute: Morag) in Ostpreußen geborene Mediziner Joh. Böhm hatte sich in Venedig niedergelassen, wo er als Arzt praktizierte.

The second edition of the work appeared in 26 volumes and aimed at giving an account of the geography and the political and moral background of many countries in the world, from Iceland to China. Volumes XVIII to XXIII covered Italy.
